There is always a concern that what you see isn’t what you really get. For example, when visiting a company’s web-site, how do you know for sure that they are telling you the truth and nothing but the truth? You don’t, of course – not unless you hear from other people who have had dealings with that company. HSBC has seen profits double to 11 billion pounds and David Cameron is cutting out free swimming for kids. How are these two things related? When I read about HSBC showing record profits I feel sick in the pit of my stomach. To be fair they did not directly receive a government bailout, but the entire banking sector was saved by the people of this country, really capitalism itself was saved.
